Laura is actually a tour guide of her adopted city (for 30+ years) of Pamplona, and she offered to give us a tour so obviously we took her up on that incredibly kind offer.
We saw the cafe where Hemingway famously penned many of his works:
Becca even had a few words with the legend himself.
Laura told us lots of neat stories about the history of the factions that shaped Pamplona over the centuries, and how the Camino has brought pilgrims, economic growth, culture, etc. I've forgotten most of the stories already, but believe that they were masterfully told.

At some point we got peckish so stopped in for pintxos at several of Laura's favorite spots in town.
And then we went for another drive around the surrounding areas, this time in a different direction. We joined the Camino for a few steps (don't we blend in beautifully though).
And Laura got to show us many of her favorite chapels and abbeys.
